Graco travel systems help!

Just need to know if you have to use car seat with a base for it to be safe. don't want to end up spending out unexpectedly. be grateful for advice from anyone thats had one. it's the sterling with autobaby car seat i'm thinking of.

No, you don't need the carseat base.

We bought a Graco travel system earlier this year and we don't have a car so didn't want the base. We've used the car seat in other peoples cars without the base perfectly safely.

Thank linnet. Couldn't find the info anywhere! Every site i looked at was obviously selling so made it sound almost essential. Just needed someone to tell me either way! Thanks again.

we found the bases easy in terms of clicking the seats in and out - we have one for each car.. there were times however when we just strapped the car seat in using the seat belt.

if u needed the base for it to be safe, then they'd sell it as one item not as 2 iykwim. as long as you fit the seat correctly using the seat belt then its perfectly safe.
