Anyone know where i can buy one. I can only find swan ones and they're not very nice. Want something modern or something groovy.

We've got a Morphy Richards "Coffee To Go Drinks Maker 47071 from John Lewis. It looks quite cool with a stainless steel design and makes tea or coffee. It's actually more for my dh than me as I don't tend to use it. He likes the cup of tea that it makes but finds it's better to use a bit less water than recommended. Down sides for me are the loud chundering and beeping noises that it makes when it's actually brewing, I'm not keen on the huge thick insulated cups and the coffee it makes isn't all that great, but the tea is nice. I wouldn't recommend it for me personally as I'm a coffee drinker, but dh certainly would.

Isn't the problme with teasmades that you still have to go downstairs to get fresh milk???
Or is there some way of keeping it fresh overnight?

xmascaroltygirl · 03/12/2004 22:37

That's what I've never managed to sort out, MHH2. It's one of the reasons I don't drink coffee or "ordinary" tea out of ours - I just have herbal. Dh has his tea and coffee black, so doesn't have that problem. Not sure if you could try powdered milk, but I really didn't fancy that.

Is this by Lakeland any good?

spacedonkey · 04/12/2004 13:00

Rather than buy a teasmade, I always sleep in the kitchen. Much cheaper and the milk stays cold.

fairyfly · 04/12/2004 13:45

I'll tell my mum to buy my dad a sleeping bag instead
Thanks sued, will show her
