lcd tv's on the wall - did u install it yourself

now the likes of argos and john lewis are seeling the brackets to put flat panel t'vs on wall i wondered wether any of u actaully installed one your self ???

if u did what did u do with the wires ???
did you bury them in the wall or what other fab idea did you come up with ????

my dh did

drilled through a power cable and had to have emergency electrician out

saved a fortune up to that point!

Yes and we used wire tidies to hide them. They're like little pipes that you put the wire in. They're not perfect but they look OK.

we have wire tidies too, but only about 6 inchs visible as tv is above a cabinet

no more fingerprints on tv

You really need to channel the wires in and plaster over it otherwise it looks a bit shit to be honest. Its not a terrible job for someone who is handy but makes a massive difference.

my dh is an electrician and he put one on my sons wall with plate behind for leads he can now even use it as a monitor from his pc if he wants to watch films etc no wires can be seen unfortunately when chopping out for this he loosened the brick in the wall and it came through in our bedroom!!
