Safety 1st Fold 'n' Go Booster seat instructions

Help needed....I have lost the instructions for my booster seat and we are having a problem with the straps. It is a blue seat with green pop out legs & a yellow tray. The straps to strap it to the back of the chair and the base of the chair are not working together anymore. When you turn the dial on the base one strap gets shorter and the other gets longer...great!! So does anyone know how to fix this, or how to open the seat up to get a look at the straps.

Can you pull both straps out as far as they'll go (gently though!) and then try winding them back in with the dial? Then they'll be equal... I'll have a look for my instructions, but I don't think they were very detailed..

Thanks, I have given it a good go and in the end got totally mad and just pulled it apart. The straps were twisted but it's totally broken now so my lack of patience means I will be buying a new one!
