I have just had my shopping delivered and have not had any Multisaver discounts applied - Coke is 3 bottles for £3, fizzy water is 3 for £1.50 and Schweppes lemonade is buy one get one free but all of the items have been charged at full, non-discount price - meaning they've overcharged me by nearly a fiver (I've stocked up for Christmas). Have just emailed them but thought I would post a warning here too. The offers are all supposed to be valid 'til January 4th.

And my reply thus far...

We have recently experienced some technical difficulties with our email system, which we are working to resolve.

Unfortunately due to our high volumes of emails, this means that our response back to you may take up to 7 days.

We would also like to ask you, if possible, to avoid emailing us again in relation to your original contact as the volume of emails on our server is affecting the speed with which we are able to reply to customers.

Dontcha just love Christmas? Whole blimmin' country grinds to a halt!

call the local branch and insist on speaking to manager - we've had similar problems and dh always does this - insists on refund on delivery (as didnb't get saving) and a voucher for goodwill.

Zolapola - sounds like your dh is more assertive than me - I'm a wuss

Mind you the Manager of our local store is about 12 so not too intimidating!

I'll think about it......

Couldn't you ring them on the Customer Services number at the top of your bill?

advocaatofthedevil · 03/12/2004 11:19

Yes, phone the number. They refund you immediately.

nicmum2boys · 03/12/2004 11:34

I had to ring them yesterday, as they charged me for some brie that never arrived (this happens to me quite alot, things I ordered don't arrive, but are on my bill), and there is an announcement on the customer services line assuring everyone that although multisavers don't appear on the bill they have been deducted. There is then a further option to speak to an advisor, which I would do if I were you, wouldn't trust them with a barge pole!!

Trifle · 03/12/2004 11:39

I've had this problem too. If you check at the bottom of your bill where it says discounts you will find that all the buy one get one free offers or 2 for £4 etc etc have actually been deducted at the end. It is confusing though so add up all your special offers first then check the discounts at the end and you should find that it is actually correct.

redshoedreindeer · 03/12/2004 13:33

I've had problems with being charged for things I ordered but didn't arrive; I spoke to customer services who were v.helpful then got email with wrong amount on...I decided never to use service again....

merrymarthamoo · 05/12/2004 21:58

And the prize goes to Trifle! I got an email back (was going to ring them.....) saying that, even though the Multisaver discounts are not shown (some techie problem) they have been deducted. Well done that woman!
