cheap vacuum cleaner - any recommendations?

My lovely dyson has died. It is very old and has been repaired and repaired. I cannot afford another Dyson

so which cheapy vacuum cleaners do you recommend??

Currys have got some Dysons half price at the moment I think, if that helps.

How much can you pay? The best vacs are cylinder Mieles (even for carpet) and you can get one of those for around £100 - hang on a minute...

This looks like the cheapest one - £90 + delivery.

Although they do use a bag the bag is fabric-ish, holds loads and it goes on sucking really well until the bag is stuffed.

thanks for your help - surfed currys etc, then looked at some reviews then found a new, guaranteed lightweight VAX for £30! (ex-display model)

So result! (even if it isn't a posh one, at least I can hoover up the crumbs which are threatening to take over my house....
