Dalsouple - are pale colours hard to keep clean? What about in a hallway?

Sorry if done before! We're looking at a new floor in kitchen/ diner/ utility/ cloakroom & hall. Overall about 40sq meters so it's going to be pricey whatever we go for.

I'm really really keen on dalsouple, the smooth version without bobbles, in all teh areas. But DH thinks will show all marks and crumbs etc (and he will have to clean it!) also that will look odd in our hall.

He'd prefer Amtico but I think it can look like fake ceramic tiles. Ceramic tiles are out - underfloor heating will cost too too much and worried about kids cracking heads never mind crockery.

Anyone got any experience of this? Once DH has got an idea in his head he's off so he wants to do this yesterday!!

Thanksx

no dalsouple but pale marmoleum here and it is very easy to clean but seems to gather an awful lot of dust

I must say I wouldnt go for pale dalsouple downstairs

what about slate or stone? or wooden floors?

Hi enid. Loved slate in last house but tiny kitchen couln't eat in so didn't mind the cold. Kitchen/ diner has a sofa and we spend all our time there so needs to be warmer. Same with stone. Wood's out because the kitchen's a horrid plastic wood but brand spanking new so not being replaced yet! I'm all for marmoleum as well, DH not so keen, he;s not sure how will look in the hall.

We have dalsouple in the kitchen, but ours is emeraldish green with flecks of bright colours. Its easy to keep clean. The great thing is you can design whatever colours and patterns you want. I love it.
