same happes with bubble bath

must be some chemical in it.
It makes my nose and face itch ,which is most annoying when you're washing up as I end up with sopping wet face.
Makes dd's ankles itch...very weird.

you could try one of the more natural ones like Bio-D or Clearspring or even ecover.

Seona1973 · 01/02/2008 12:55

wear rubber gloves (for washing up not while in the bath )

Frizbe · 01/02/2008 12:56

You need to use natural based ones by the sounds of it, ecover is ok for wash up lqd. Sounds like you may need natural/organic bubble bath though.

preggersagain · 01/02/2008 13:01

try surcare- supposed to be hypoallergenic!

brimfull · 01/02/2008 14:24

morning fresh - and it's cheap!

faith in nature - not cheap.

Furball · 01/02/2008 14:58

I use Jason bubble bath/shower gel and it's fab. No nasties. I get mine from a local Health shop - but you can get it online.

MightyMoosh · 01/02/2008 23:55

ecover makes me itch, as do all brands when the water is well hot. just started surcare, will see how it goes!

dropscone · 01/02/2008 23:56

FFS - Marigolds !

expatinscotland · 01/02/2008 23:57

do you use gloves?

this might help.

DH is allergic to Fairy, but it's really the best for washing up.

He only washes up occassionally and uses the Marigolds whilst at it.

Susiemj · 02/02/2008 08:42

i have the same thing ggirl and i found i was allergic to gloves too.

bigdonna · 02/02/2008 14:56

persil makes me get a rash i find fairy does not

tab · 02/02/2008 15:42

Hi I was having the same problem, well sore and flaky hands after using Ecover and the supposedly eco friendly makes!! I have found that normal green Fairy is fine but that might just be me. My ds1 had problems with excema so I used to steer clear of all bubble bath except for oilatum liquids or oatmeal based ones (not really bubbles).
Sorry thats probably not that helpful. Also I went through the same thing with washing powders/liquids, starting off with the non bios and the Ecovers - Persil and Fairy non bios seemed to be the worse. I actually moved to the bios (not just because we had bad reactions but because I needed to get out the tomato sauce etc!!)Im now on Ariel bio and everyone is fine! Weird!

lailasmum · 02/02/2008 17:49

surcare is vile, really over scented and very strong so one to avoid like the plague, it also leaves a flavour on everything.

brimfull · 02/02/2008 21:48

thanks for all the relies

used marigolds and the itching was a lot less but still there.

so will look for the other stuff mentioned
thanks
