I can't believe I am asking this, can't believe I care enough to ask but does anyone have a hoover recommendation?

I am so fed up with our duff hoover, I may as well crawl around on my hands and knees sucking up floor-crap with a straw.

I NEED suction. I NEED reliability!

What do I need to buy?

I thank you.

So, a consensus of sorts...a miele.
Although the narcolepsy is by far the most attractive and likely option.

Thanks.

Bought a Miele "pet" which was on special offer at Curry's a couple of weeks ago. It's fab. Would definitely get that or the cat & dog - the turbo brush is a must have & isn't included with the cheaper models!
