Yup - I went in M&S today. Only on selected lines but does include clothing, house stuff etc

grumpyfrumpy, just went to one in the city and quite a lot of stuff was on special offer in the foods, but mostly xmas food & drink stuff, boxes of biscuits etc

I bought a pair of trousers that I shall look very slim in and two spiderman lollies for my boys. I got £5 off the trousers and the lollies were free as the twat on the till (male!) forgot to ring them up. Free stuff - now that's what i call a sale

Kaysleigh Did you go to the moorgate one? and are the trousers on spec offer too? (Not your trousers but the trousers in general)

Not moorgate, 5goldendillydallys. Went to Fenchurch Street. But yes most of the trousers had 20% off. Would imagine it is same in Moorgate.

Is it Per Una too? I have my eye on a nice pair of green velvet-y boot cut trousers.

They also have a gorgeous black velvet long evening coat for £99. I would never have the oppportunity to wear it but oooh it's covetable!

went to the big one at London Colney this afternoon and it was heaving. I did get some bits though that i'd planned on buying anyway so it was nice to get the 20% off, worth the extra wait in the queue I guess.

I missed it - didn't notice the date of original post! Ah well. We're skint anyway...

My Mum went to the huge Manchester branch yesterday and didn't buy a thing - she just walked in and walked out as it was so busy. She said people were flinging things into shopping trolleys (imagine being rich enough to need to push a shopping trolley round M&S?!) like the world was coming to an end!
