John Lewis budget kitchen

John Lewis do a "budget kitchen range" - has anyone had a JL kitchen installed? Wondering about looking into this (also considering Ikea)and would be grateful for any advice!

John Lewis and 'budget' have never really been two words I have put together tbh!

Oooh, well in that case I may have a look! I actually love the Ikea free standing range...but I think you really have to have quite a big kitchen for that!

We have just had a JL unbudget range kitchen installed. It is beautiful but customer service has been dreadful, including a granite worktop that didn't fit which they tried to patch up without telling us..., installer making up how he thought the kitchen ought to look rather than looking at the plan, umpteen bits missing or broken, a flooded kitchen on Christmas Eve due to cutting corners with plumbing in the sink....

We have been negotiating for weeks and have finally reached a compromise to put an end to all the wrangling but I wouldn't go with them again tbh...

Goodness me, flowery, that's rather shocking to hear and not at all what I would have expected ... sorry to hear you've had so much stress

well quite, bunyanvillas, not at all what you expect. We chose JL accepting that it would be more £££ in the hope that it would be stress free .

I am trying to put it all behind me To be fair it is a beautiful kitchen, but it's been a frustrating experience.

LOL! That's actually about the sum total of my budget ...
