Digital channels - indoor aerial - Birmingham

I need to purchase an indoor aerial for my DM to use with her new TV which has Freeview built in. She has no access to the exertnal aerial so we need an internal one.

Two questions

  1. Is it possible to pick up all the digital channels using an internal aerial?

  2. Which aerial would you recommend?

TIA

Yes it is possible.
I am in Birmingham, we pick up the Sutton Coldfield transmitter.
I dont know any makes but I bought an aerial with a powered booster that you plug into the mains, off ebay for us. We had no problems with picking up digital freeview channels and we used it for about 18 months.

make sure she lives in an area that can officially get freeview

i live in a huge highly populated town and i cant get freeview, though hosues just 5 minutes away can...

i am in halesowen and we can't get anything with the ordinary aerial. check that there is a signal...any of the neighbours got it?

She can get channel 5 on her little portable using little wire aerial (I'm told that if you can receive C5 you should be able to receive Freeview)and my DB can get Freeview with the external aerial on his TV (he lives nearby).
