One of the high st jewelery shops do a range for chilren. It's really good as the necklaces have 2 different clasps as the child grows. Someone brought dd a lovely silver chain from there for her christening. I think it may be Beaverbrooks.

Depends how much you want for twenty quid. Accessorize do really nice children's jewellery - mini versions of the adult stuff, but its not silver or gold obviously.
Bought a really lovely flower necklace and bracelet for ds1 to give to one of his girlfriends for her 3rd birthday. Would still be suitable for a 7 yr old I'd have thought.

my pleasure coddy

Had also thought of belly button ring, nose ring or lip ring as well

Thomcat · 30/11/2004 17:38

You do mean play jewellry don't you?
That 'click it' stuff where you can make you own beads etc might be nice.

twiglett · 30/11/2004 17:51

why don't you buy click-its stuff so they can make their own (despite the horribly made-up pre-pubescent temptresses on the ad it looks pretty good)

jewellry + children = pet hate

That's not bad Coddy but have to be honest and say on anyone who isn't in their teens, ok maybe slighly younger, I only like play jewellery. Chunky bright beads, or similar. What age are you talking about?

twiglett · 30/11/2004 21:45

yuk yuk and thrice yuk

I'm with TC wholeheartedly on this one

Thomcat · 30/11/2004 21:51

LOL at thrice Twigglet
