Toys with batteries.

Following on from the toys that need to be assembled thread. My huge gripe at Xmas is people who buy prezzies that need batteries and don't supply the batteries with them. I always check what I've brought and if it needs batteries I also supply the batteries. Last year I was prepared for this and brought shed loads of AA batteries. But mil brought the kids gifts that needed C and D batteries 12 in total costing us over £20 I wasn't impressed.

i try and avoid buying htem dont you?

I recently bought a game that I didn't know used batteries. The sales assistant pointed it out & sold the neccessary batteries. I've only come across one shop that does this - perhaps more should or at least have batteries at the cash desk to save hunting round the supermarket etc.

I always buy the batteries for any toys that I buy neeing them. But at Christmas I also try and buy in a batch supply of batteries. Think we spent £35 on batteries last Christmas Eve in preparation!

Why can't places like ELC just supply them in their toys??? I bought a cheap clock from Index today and even that came with them included. Why can't toy producers?
