Longer vests for a 3 year old?

I'm on my third purchase of vests for DS aged 3 this winter already! 1st lot from next, went back, bizarre sizing?? anyway second lot from primark third lot from BHS. Now the problem I have is they all seem short, so when he's sat down playing his jumper comes up at the back and so does his vest. Now I admit Jumpers and sweatshirts we will just have to put up with, (he's long in the body, but very slender) but maybe if I could find a longer vest which would actually tuck into his trousers I could at least stop him getting drafty round the middle. Any ideas anyone?

Just got some from marks for my long and lanky daughter and they're fab - long enough to tuck in knickers and stay tucked!
