interested to know what you thought of them, are the trainers better?, also did you get your regular shoe size?, or is the sizing very different? Also, are they really ugly ?

They are really really ugly.

Sal22 · 27/01/2008 17:26

hmm, probably a bit ugly, but i just loved them in summer (once i got used to them after a week or so, i have to admit). more comfortable than my trusted birks most of the time. i used to wear them to the office and once there changed into something a little prettier. and i'll be living in them again in summer. i got them in my regular size, but from the reviews i read at the time you should probably try them out in person, as a lot of people seemed to prefer a smaller size than their usual shoes.

amazonianwoman · 27/01/2008 23:40

Haven't tried them, but they seem to get mixed reviews, see here

Some of the Earth shoes on that site look quite "normal" - thinking of trying some

SabaSaba · 28/01/2008 09:50

I agree the Earth shoes do look more normal, less orthopedic/spice girl, some of the sandals are lovely, alot cheaper too. But I still fancy trying the MBT`s, they sound fun to use and thought they may help my bad back ( I would put up with uglyness if they helped )I would probably do as sal22 does, where at home and for walking, and change later. Sizing is wierd though, it goes up in 1/3 not 1/2. They dont do a 40, then it goes 41 then 41&2/3, I am normally a uk 7.5, so not sure what to go for. I should try them but my nearest stockists is a private clinic, and I feel that I might feel under pressure to buy from them ( they seem to be a lot cheaper on internet ).

Will be interested to hear what you think of them

Try them at the private clinic, then tell them you've forgotten your purse and make a hasty retreat to the bargains on the internet

SabaSaba · 28/01/2008 12:02

I cant trust myself, Ill probably end up getting talked into buying two pairs, and book myself on a course of treatments, and will only think about what Ive done once Im at home

I love mine. They are only good for the summer months mind you. It took me a little while to get used to them but really made a difference to knees & back.
