Bought some clothing and put receipt in shopping bag. At home tried on clothing and what didn't fit I put in the bag, to return to the shop after I returned from a few days break. Come back and go to the shop and was told I wasn't allowed to return them as the barcodes on product didn't match the receipt. They didn't believe me when I told them that is the only receipt and that I haven't removed the receipt from shopping bag. I could only exchange for another size and was told I had to pay more as the item I returned was of less value despite the price being the same on the receipt and tag. Called head office and have been offered a refund of the difference I paid when I next go in store. Checked the barcode of the clothing I didn't returned and that doesn't match on the receipt either. It is definitely the right receipt as it didn't leave the bag for a week. And my card details. I don't think anyone at the shop believed me and felt like I was being called a liar. I wondered if it was a technical issue. Has anyone else has gone through a similar experience?
