Seat positions on Phil and Teds E3

I've recently bought a Phil and Teds E3, I can work out 3 seat positions - lying flat in the carry cot, upright and reclined, but what is the 4th position? I think it is described as heads-up in the leaflets, but what is this position?
Also what seat position do you use when your baby reaches 6 months?

the carrycot position can be flat or on a slight upright recline

Thanks The Blonde, I didn't realise that you could put the carrycot on a slight upright recline. At what age would you put your baby in that position?

Your baby is still lying flat in this position - in the sense that their back is supported the whole length and the incline is subtle enough that they do not need to support their head. I'd reason anytime you think your baby may be more comfortable like this it will be okay. Useful for colds and sniffles (when you are sometimes also recommended to raise the head-end of your cot to give similar effect). As they get heavier and the fabric of the puschair stretches a little with their weight bearing down, the zips can help level them out again.

Any position should be good from 6 months as most babies are beginning to sit with assistance by this stage - but you'll just get to know what your baby is capable of and comfortable with. The age recommendations are just guidelines.

thanks headheartorhormones- i assume that you need to adjust the zips and clips to make the seat recline

you keep the clips done up but undo the zips

hope this makes sense, the instructions that come with it are useless!
