car seat advice

My DS is 9 months and we're choosing the next car seat. I think have narrowed it down to Maxi Cosi priori XP (£109) or the Maxi Cosi Tobi (£130). Is the Tobi worth an extra £30? We're not flush but I want to make sure we buy the safest one we can afford. Anyone have any tips on which is best? I'm keen that it reclines as much as possible. Thanks in advance! xxx

I really like the Maxi Cosi Priori XP and have them for my daughters, they are easy to fit and move from one car to another, we hae tried them in quite a few cars and have had no problems, harness is easy to use, good recline nice colours etc cover fairly easy to remove for washing as well. We were thinking of upgrading to the Tobi but I was put off when I read somewhere about problems with the harness, where it was loosening itself for no apparent reason. I think they may well have sorted this out now.

babyvalue on ebay are worth looking at they are the outlet for maxi cosi and other makes and they often have Brand New Priori XP's and Tobis at l bought a brand new Priori for in laws car for £49.99 they dont have any listed at the moment but are definately worth watching one of their auctions

Thanks for that we went to Halfords yesterday and think we decided that the XP was as good as Tobi and less bulky. Will definitely watch the auction. Thanks x

thats interesting to read that the priori sps did better than the tobi and the xp, its older than both you would think they would improve them
