Ruddy new kettle makes everything taste of ruddy plastic

is there anything to be done about it? except taking it back and appearing a complete loon in the shop and having to make a big fuss to insist on money back?

a friend said hers did this for ages and then wore off - I can't cope with plastic tea for ages

have you boiled a full kettle and poured it out 3 times?

I think dp has been using it for a few days so i presume he has probably boiled and emptied it loads

We had to do it at least 10 times before the tea stopped tasty manky. Its fine now though.

What make was it by the way? Am in need of new one and want to avoid!! SHould I just get a metal one then? DEscaled ours and it tasted weird after 15 boils(or was I just being paranoid?!!)
