Where is the best place online to buy rechargable batteries?

DS got this for Christmas and it's fantastic, but it uses 4 AA batteries and has already had to have a new set put in. We were already quite heavy users of batteries in a myriad of toys that bleep, flash and do other annoying things. So I think the time has come to change to rechargable.

Is there anything I should know (best brands, optimum usage etc)?

I bought a battery charger plus 2 batteries from Argos recently for about £10 - I don't suppose extra batteries would be too bad. My original charger (about a fiver from a lovely 'pound' shop in Carlisle) was nicked en route to Malta recently . They were about £18 over there so I had to put up with one-use batteries!! You might get an even better deal online.

YOu really want 8 batteries so you always have one complete set recharging (overnight is good and swap them over the next day) and one set ready to go iyswim.

Are all brands pretty much the same, or are some better than others?

My charger is a Uniross one and the batteries tend to do a day's sightseeing on holiday before they want charging - my ditigal camera is greedy! My x bf and I are keen photographers of sights on holiday so they get a bit thrashed - we used to come back with 200-300 pics .

Thanks bwm. Ocado had some chargers and batteries so I went with Energiser and some high capacity batteries. Hopefully it will mean fewer changes.
