ELC space rocket

I know lots of you have this rocket as I found other threads about it but do any of you have problems with it only playing one of the noises its meant to?

We got it for ds for christmas (he loves it) and 99.99% of the time it only plays the countdown to lift off noise and not the other one that I think is meant to be an engine noise.

Just wondering what other peoples did to see if it's worth taking back. (if I can be bothered, it's not like he knows any different)

ours has been ok I think - althou H did work out that it only does the engine sound if it's on it's side, and the count down when standing up? (any help at all?)

Ours has been brilliant but you have to motion it upwards to make the rocket noise, which I think we only found out about this time last year!

Ah, I wondered if that was the case. On the couple of times that it has made the other noise it has been on its side (but when on side still mostly makes the other noise). Sounds like its maybe a bit of a design flaw.

didn't know it was supposed to make more than one noise! Ours only seems to make the countdown noise.

Will play with it today and check.

just checked ours. it plays the lift of count when its stood up and the engine sound on its side.
