Phil and Teds question - Will the new sport double seat fit on the older E3 model?

Just wondering if I has a single Phil and Teds E3 whether the new Sport double kit would fit onto it or not?

to my nakes eye it looks like it would fit BUT im sure im herd (on here) that it doesnt
