Glass in Pasta Sauce

I found glass in my Pasta Sauce from Morrisons. Took pictures and sent it back over a month ago but not heard a peep from them. Where do I go from here? Nothing has been advertised in the press regards this and it is dangerous. What would you do?

Contact them again, assuming it was their own brand. If it was a named brand they may have forwarded it on so can take a while to get back to you.

I once found a small dirty piece of glass in a ready to eat prepared melon. The supermarket sent me a £5 voucher. The suppliers/food processor then sent a detailed report about how no one had broken glass on the production line, the glass was dirty and it must have been in the bowl I’d tipped the melon into -my toddler and I were eating it straight out of the pack which I had detailed in the original letter!-They basically finished up saying that the supermarket has given you a £5 voucher so you’ve had a refund for the product anyway. I’m still mad & DC is late teens. There should not be glass in food.

I also once had a foreign body in Cadbury’s hot chocolate. I sent it back recorded delivery. When I got no response I called & they claimed they hadn’t received it. I’d sent it recorded delivery & had the signature of the person who signed for it!
they still said they couldn’t investigate. I contacted them on twitter. £5 voucher arrived in the post. Doesn’t answer what it was or how it got there, it looked like a rotten piece of wood. The hot chocolate was again for DS.

I later learned-through working for some time at customer service for a large super market- that it can be better to return it to store as they have a process for logging foreign bodies found in food items and a system for returning them back to their suppliers for investigation.

did you send the jar label/batch code/use by date along with the glass? They wouldn’t be able to investigate without all that info but they should still respond, assuming it reached them.

you can email them to complain or phone their customers service

Yes they have had pictures and codes and the jar was sent back and it was an own brand. I will keep calling them but I think people should have been warned. Thank you for your advice.
