so no 'posh' onhes, no 4x4's.

does anyone have a grand citreon c4 picasso? or the big renault scenic?

if nissan stil lmade the tino, i would get another one, but they dont, and the qashqai is horrid and poor visibility comapred the tino and the note is too small.

we need something to fit 3 cars seat in the back.

i want the astra estate as i lvoed driving that last summer as a hire car, but really should look at other options.

could i fit three car seats i na volvo V50?

how big is a mazda 3?

Fiat Multipla - absolutley wonderful, loads of room and you can have 6 people inside and don't have to sacrifice boot room.

Enid has one too, and she also loves hers to bits.

they are fantastic

Misdee · 11/01/2008 13:52

multipla is too high on advance payments. i did want one but cant get the money for advance payment.

We had a scenic a few months ago (dh smashed it up), i did'nt get a chance to drive it but dh said it was a great car to drive.

At the moment i'm driving a VW Toran (the best car i have driven) ,its a 7 seater but a bit pricey. I have to give it back tommorrow , if i had the money i would buy one.

Misdee · 11/01/2008 14:23

shall i do a list of what we are looking at?

citreon piocasso
citreon grand picasso
ford c-max
renault scenic
renault grand scenic
vauxhall astra estate
vauxhall vectra estate
volvo V50 (this one i am very interested to hear about)

Misdee · 11/01/2008 14:24

i have the big renault grand scenic

love it

TheMadHouse · 11/01/2008 14:24

I have a grand scenic and love it too bits

lou33 · 11/01/2008 14:27

7 seats , tho i usually have the back 2 down, so with 4 kids and me in the five seats, there is masses of boot space for a wheelchair and a supermarket shop

with 6 seats up i can still get the chair and some shopping in, and with all 7 i can still fit in the wheelchair, just, but it is a child sized one

BibiThree · 11/01/2008 14:29

Toota Corolla Verso fits 3 car seats in the back, I know because mine does. 2 extra seats int he boot, but they aren't suitable for car seats.

BibiThree · 11/01/2008 14:29

That's Toyota, not Toota

Misdee · 11/01/2008 14:29

no need for a wheelchair or medical equioment to be carried this time at present, but untill AF arrives or test proves otherwise, then i need to look at the fact we may need more than 5 seats this time.

OP posts:
Misdee · 11/01/2008 14:30

the verso is advance payment of £1395 for lowet spec, so way way out of range.

TheMadHouse · 11/01/2008 14:32

Erm, if you are going to need four car seats then the scienic may not be for you. I have had 7 people in, but getting to the 2 rear seats is hard if you have full car seats in the main back seat, as they do not tip foeward. Also, although you can put car seats on the two rear ones there is not much leg room

preggersagain · 11/01/2008 15:50

what deposit is the v50 then misdee? oooh motability site surfing!! i used to love seeing some of the ridiculous cars you could get- Mazda MX-5 fgs!!!

Misdee · 11/01/2008 15:53

volvo v50 is £295 AP atm.

dh wanted the mazda mx5 last time. i laughed and said no lol.

to be fair, if we already owned a family car i wouldnt mind him getting a mx5 for himself. but we need one for everyone, so he cant have it lol.

misdee, have a grand scenic and love the car but now I have it realise that I really should have bought an espace as said before if you have three car seats fitted in the second row the only way you can access the third is through the boot! Also on reading the handbook the back two "occassional" seats are not suitable for many child card seats so a bit hopeless really!
