right i a little bit of a pramoholic so have had many pushchairs between my two kids and now i have just found out i am pregannt again and would like to take my time and try and find something perfect so i can have just the one or maybe two!!

dd will be just turning three so it needs to be sturdy enough to alow for a buggyboard of somesort

i have had a bugaboo and whilst that would be terrific i have to travel on the bus and taxis so it's not really practical just for the sheer fact that it folds in two pieces

it there anything remotely similar that fols one handed with the seat still attached

i was really keen on the buzz but it looks really hard to fold down if you had to hold baby at the same time

ooh forgot to mention that i would prefer it to rear face and then forward face later on

maybe was thinking of something like a pramette but am not a fan of m and p (had loads of trouble with them with my moove)

anyone at the mo am between a bugaboo (naughty) and a buzz (but can you ise the buzz from birth wothout a carrycot?)

dh has said he wants one that rear faces when they are older too prob for the first year or so so that kind or limits things if we want it to be lightweight and small folding - the best one so far seems to be the loola although i have never had one so not sure how nice they are to push

Cappuccino · 14/01/2008 09:36

haven't you got one left over from your other children?

this is just odd

Tutter · 14/01/2008 09:37

it's an addiction capp

Cappuccino · 14/01/2008 09:38

it is isn't it?

it's only a pram

the only reason to buy another one is because one breaks, surely?

mustsleep · 14/01/2008 09:40

i hve a micralite as dd was going to be my last!! the micrlite is only suitable from 3-6 months and doesn't fully recline which is fine for dd as she is two!! we will keep that as when new baby comes she will still be two and for day trips etc might not be able to walk all day

i obv sold the others when i didnlt use them anymore dont see the point in hoarding things that are not used!!

OP posts:
mustsleep · 14/01/2008 09:41

cappucino i think it would be odder to keep somehting that has been outgrown and takes up loads of room, but then i'm odd

Oh leave her alone girls!!!

Mustsleep, I am not very well up to date on the newer prams out there. But I do know that M&P are bringing out a new reversible Pliko soon, it might not be available over here, not sure.

I have an older pliko and it's fine. I read some reviews on the Moove a few months back and it didn't rate very well - what probs did you have with it?

Also I'm not sure if the Hauck infinity folds all in one, that is similar to the Bug but cheaper as you probably know x

FlllightAttendant · 14/01/2008 09:55

Have you tried a Loola btw? Lots of people love them.

mustsleep · 14/01/2008 09:58

hi with the moove i found it a bit hard to push it felt heavy and hard to push one handed, but it broke after two weeks the catch that held it shut when folded snapped so i took it back to m and p and they wouldnlt give me a new one just sent it away for repair (2 weeks), and then when it came back i took it home and all the side was cracked so took it back again and they still wouldnt give me a new one just offered to repair it again - and had to stand there talking loudly for ages beofre they would just gove me a refund ......... not really keen on m and p after that but quite like the new luna although that isn;t rearfacing

hi i have been researching the pram market for one
and i think i found the perfect one, that i will be purchasing.
it's the new chicco trio for me.
its as lightweight and as compact as a buggy. forward and rear facing.
can transform into a pram and be used with a car seat.
also comes complete with matching bag and accesories.
complete package £449 from kiddicare.com cheapest i found so far
hope this helps

FlllightAttendant · 14/01/2008 10:05

Oh I forgot to say congratulations!!!

NorthernLurker · 14/01/2008 14:04

I saw a family folding a silver cross in a cafe the other week - I was really surprised because it looked big and cosy but folded up v small. Unhelpfully for you I wasn't obsessed close enough to see the model name - sorry. You mentioned the Loola - everything I have read says they are v heavy. Wish I knew what the other silver cross one was ....I did read a review of the Silver Cross dazzle which comes with a carry cot....have you seen that - it's rather nice!

kekouan · 14/01/2008 14:14

I've got the Quinny Buzz, but wish I'd bought the iCandy Apple.... they fold up a lot smaller and i think they're a bit cheaper as well

kekouan · 14/01/2008 14:15

Oh, you can't use the Buzz from birth unless you buy the carrycot. It folds flat, but not entirely.

kekouan · 14/01/2008 14:18

also, the buzz doesn't come with a shopping basket for underneath... don't get me wrong. I love the pushchair and it's very good for me, but there are several downsides to it.

Lauriefairycake · 14/01/2008 14:22

I might be insane (and sorry to crash your thread) but i saw a really tall one the other day - chest and face height - it was amazing and she just nudged a switch and the thing collapsed (pram type though, but I don't know the difference between a pram and a pushchair) - turned on three wheels - it was a foreign make but I can't remember. It looked fab!

Anyone know?

NorthernLurker · 14/01/2008 14:27

sounds a bit like a stokke xplory to me

MerlinsBeard · 14/01/2008 14:27

the loola doesn't fold with the seat rear facing. it was on our list of possibilities until then You have to take off the seat and then reattach it the other way

There is a new one out in a few weeks-the loola up- which looks like our ideal pushchair (and i have never ever been bothered about having the latest one!), i do know that the newer loola is lighter than the others though and betetr suspension

I just realised i sound like a pushchair addict...i am off!!!

ProjectIcarus · 14/01/2008 14:37

I would have to agree with chicco triohere

I only have the pushchair and I love it. Fold with seat on in either direction the bar/2 handle option is fab. Folds easily and DD2 loves it.

If this had been out when dd1 was here I would only have had one pram. Oh and a double

Lauriefairycake · 14/01/2008 14:38

Thanks NothernLurker - that has been bugging me all week - just went on the Stokke website and it is indeed one of them

It looks fab, can I have one just to carry my shopping in (have no baby) like Becky does in Shopaholic and Baby ??

ProjectIcarus · 14/01/2008 14:39

Oh and you can get a soft cradle for it too for a wee babyhere.

mustsleep · 14/01/2008 18:42

thanks everyone
am going to google the loola up now

looked at the loolas when i had dd and they are v heavy, and if you can;t fold them when rearfacing that's no good for getting the bus etc is it?

have seen today the britax vigour 4 which is similar to the buzz and can be used from birth with a carrycot (bought seperately of course) but it folds easier and in one piece by the looks of it

OP posts:
Misdee · 14/01/2008 18:43

i thought you could fold it rear facing. i didnt like it as was very heavey.

Misdee · 14/01/2008 18:45
