right i a little bit of a pramoholic so have had many pushchairs between my two kids and now i have just found out i am pregannt again and would like to take my time and try and find something perfect so i can have just the one or maybe two!!

dd will be just turning three so it needs to be sturdy enough to alow for a buggyboard of somesort

i have had a bugaboo and whilst that would be terrific i have to travel on the bus and taxis so it's not really practical just for the sheer fact that it folds in two pieces

it there anything remotely similar that fols one handed with the seat still attached

i was really keen on the buzz but it looks really hard to fold down if you had to hold baby at the same time

sorry i mean the britax vigour 3 is like the buzz but folds all in one and looks a lot easier to fold and is actually lighter

the britax vigour 4 is like the bugaboo but folds in one piece although it does not say if it folds facing either way

the chico one looks good but i wanted something with big wheels (but obv their not going to be that light)

i would get the new micralite torro, but they haven't made that rear facing

icandy ?

FlllightAttendant · 14/01/2008 19:45

Do you not have buses that allow disabled/pushchair access? I can't ever get my head around folding a buggy while holding a small child, it is just hell to me - I'm lucky not to have to use buses much and when I do it is a disabled one so no folding...otherwise I just walk.

mustsleep · 15/01/2008 09:34

we do have them but they are really few and far between and don;t know the ties etc

tbh i usually just get a taxi i never go that far so i normally get a taxi into town and then walk home, so i was thinking that the buzz wouldnt be too bad if it unfolds automatically - but on the off chance that i do need to collapse it when i go somewhere i suppose that the baby would be able to sit up by the time he/she was in the seat and so could sit in the back of the taxi - it's just that when i had the bugaboo the drivers near me (not all of them but most) are really unhelpful they would just dump it all on the busy pavement near the shops and leave me to struggle with a two piece pushchair and all my shopping and a baby (awful) but i suppose that the buxx would unfold itself quickly and then i could just stick the seat on myself, or if i am going without dd i could take the micralite for shirt trips by then not sure what to do now

it they just did one like the buzz that folded in one piece with one hand regardless of which way the seat was facing....

FlllightAttendant · 15/01/2008 10:12

I see where you're coming from, it sounds quite tricky. There is a buggy that unfolds automatically I'm sure. I will try and think what it is.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound critical about the bus thing!

FlllightAttendant · 15/01/2008 10:15

Cosatto Mobi might be one to consider...

FlllightAttendant · 15/01/2008 10:20

...you could fold it with the seat on, but not sure if it still does that rear facing or not. I guess the pram bit wouldn't fold down but that would be temporary.

mustsleep · 15/01/2008 10:24

cheers will have a look at the cosatto mobi thingy now in kiddicare they have video demos on there which are helpful!!

didn't think you were being critical aboutthe bus thing at all jsut wish that they were more frequent round here !!

My loola does fold with the seat rear facing. It's a lovely buggy but hard to push one handed. I bought mine second hand off ebay and bits started dropping off it, so it's folded up in my shed and I have an emmaljunga stroller now and it is perfect for me.
It is easy to get obsessed with prams because having the right one makes a huge difference to your quality of life.
Having a wonky useless one is a total nightmare.

hoxtonchick · 15/01/2008 10:40

i saw a bugaboo bee the other day which looked cool. had a newborn in which seemed snuggly. don't think you can get them here yet though...

mustsleep · 15/01/2008 10:44

the cosatto mobil is basically the same as the buzz and about the same price but is a bit bigger when folded

i think i have more or less talked myself into the buzz for the time being but will be keepong an eye out for anything new coming out

OP posts:
mustsleep · 15/01/2008 10:48

i have had a bugaboo gecko and a frog with dd

it was really cool and easy to use the only thing was that it was a pain that it folded in two pieces although they all seem to that are like this - didn;t get to use with the acrrycot though as dd was too old

could geta bugaboo again i suppose as the seat would be off the buzz when rearfacing anyway....oh i don't know

would love to see the bee in the flesh have watched the demo and it does look good they have them on ebay but they are £350+

Rosylily, can I ask which emmaljunga you have? I have the Edge duo combi, I love it!

Rosylily · 15/01/2008 10:57

Flightattendant- I think mine are old! I have a twin which is so easy to push (and bouncy)don't need a twin now so I got a stroller on ebay, which has huge chunky wheels. They don't fold down small but I can just walk onto the train with them and I have a big boot.

Rosylily · 15/01/2008 10:59

I should get commision!

Rosylily · 15/01/2008 11:10

on research, mine is the 'scooter'.

mumtojandm · 15/01/2008 11:15

I've had a loola and it DEFINITELY folds with the seat rear facing. It was the only way I used it! Heavy to steer though and a nightmare going up and down kerbs. Also had a Hauck Infinity and they only fold forward facing but used the chassis with a Graco car seat for the early days and it was great. Now got a Silvercross S4 3 wheeler for shopping trips and a Petit Star Zia for school runs.

FlllightAttendant · 15/01/2008 11:18

Oh that's smashing Rosylily - I love it!!
Mine is old too - well I have four

mainly for spares...

They are just sooo well made aren't they!
Thanks for sharing

Sorry for the hijack Musty, will bugger off now

mustsleep · 15/01/2008 12:44

mumtojandm what is the petit star zia like have seen the video demo on kiddicare and looks a lot better than the zapp

OP posts:
mumtojandm · 15/01/2008 19:13

So far it seems great. Seat reclines flat if needed but when fully upright, it's not (if you see what I mean). Not got as steep a seat as zapp and folds a bit bigger but still lightweight and great for the school run. Raincover a bit of a pain to get on as it covers the whole pram (even over the handlebars at the back) but dd not got wet yet. Kiddicare have a price match on at the moment. They are advertising it at £99.97 but I found a website where it was £90 and they matched it with free delivery. I got the cranberry one and I would say it's more for a girl as it's more pinky rather than red.

mustsleep · 16/01/2008 09:22

hmm that might have to be my light weight one for it gets bigger this time!!

now just stuck between a buzz or a bugaboo

OP posts:
MerlinsBeard · 16/01/2008 09:37

so the loola does fold with teh seat reversed?? The woman in the shop said it didn't because of where the handle was that you pull up in relation to the seat. Is that get roundable then?

MerlinsBeard · 16/01/2008 09:38

i had a 'go' of a bugaboo when i was in The Baby recently. They are VERY nice to push. Too many negatives for me tho - i want wheels the same size all teh way round, not ones that could be punctured.... it is a very nice buggy though

mustsleep · 16/01/2008 09:45

i've had a frog and a gecko and loved them, but have never had a buzz so donlt know how they compare , never had a puncture and havent with the micralite (touch wood) but you can get that foam spray for emergencies !!

just not sure at all the bugaboo is lighter than the buzz...
