Why is it that Clarks discriminate against little girls with wide feet and high instep who just want to look pretty in their summer dresses like their friends?
On several occasions in different clarks stores (1 where my daughter lives and 1 near me in Chesire) we have taken my granddaughters to be measured both need a h size but because Clarks don't have them in store to go up a half size in a g (surely going up in length should not compensate for the width - would you do this when measuring for anything else ! ) . On our last occasion my granddaughters picked out a lovely pair of purple sparkle boots that were really pretty.
The assistant came back with a pair of pink neon trainers with a black slash down the side and a pair of black trainers with a green slash down the side !!!! Apparently the sizes they need are not available we could try a canvas summer shoe instead ? Oh no once again shock horror they didn't have them either - so came away with 2 upset and crying kids.
They seem to be able to stock school shoes in the sizes needed so why not summer shoes ?
Do their wide shoe makers go on holiday for the summer ?
