rather dull question about sale discounts / full price

Ordered a skirt in October from that marvellous retailer La Redoute. Have just had email saying they are despatching it this week and charging me full price (£21). but on the website it is reduced to £11.55. i rang them to ask for difference to be refunded but they refused, saying it was ordered full price so i must pay. have ordered another one half price but it doesn't arrive till march!

Can they do this? is it just my own fault for being stupid enough to order from them?

skirt might be vile anyway - here feel free to judge.

if you buy it when it is full price then thats it I'm afraid

Or thats what I alwas thought anyway

btw I like the skirt

Personally I think those little pockets half way down the skirt might not be very flattering...will it look like you have mishapen thighs....

As to the problem with the price - I'm not sure. Of course the cunning plan would be to return one skirt with the full price invoice and wear the sale one but you will have to wait until March. If you wait until March to return that one but with the full price invoice you may have gone beyond 28 day returns limit or similiar IYSWIM

thanks trinity and claricebeansmum, that is slightly my fear because they describe it as aline which could be v bad but it is more nicely pencil in the pic. hence still getting full price delivered because if it is nasty i can just cancel the whole thing and not wait till march.

i am cross with them because exactly the same thing happened with a pair of boots and they did refund and apologise, so why the vile old bag i spoke to wouldn't is beyond me. she told me i didn't have 'enough points' to open an account either what do you have to be made of solid gold or something?
