Photoshop Elements or Paintshop Pro - which one to buy?

Any advice please? Pros, cons etc.

depends what you want to use it for.

If you're only ever likely to use it for messing about then either I guess. If you are likely to want to get really good though, go for photoshop as the full version is excellent and the industry standard.

BTW older versions of all of them are often available on the cover of magazines for nothing - you should have a look before you buy anything.
