Too big for a travel cot - any suggestions?

my 2yo ds is now too big for his mothercare travel cot, which is used when we go and stay with friends/family, maybe 2 weekends a month. He can climb out of it, and is over the recommended weight limit. Question is, what do i use now? The people we stay with don't have toddler friendly single beds i could use, so need to bring something with us. Don't fancy waiting for the thuds when he falls out of their double beds( even with his cotguard from home). Was thinking of a blow up ready bed/airbed with sleeping bag, but thought i'd pick your collective brains! TIA

we used ready beds which are fine until they are about 7 or so.
Reday beds come witth sleeping bag as part of it...you can get character ones

Agree with AQ - would go for a ready bed!

We tried an airbed with dd (at 2y3mo), and she complained that it was "too wobbly". She ended up sleeping on a folded up double duvet on the floor, with her duvet to cover her, and seemed perfectly comfortable on that. So that's what we do now.
