What kind of oven is cheaper to run - gas or electric?

I need to buy a new cooker and have always had gas before. I definitely want a gas hob but should I get dual fuel (ie electric oven) or just gas. I wonder (especially with the recent price rises) which is cheaper to use.

TIA

I don't know.

But when we changed our kitchen i went for gas as rather then electric as i don't like cooking with electric.

I find gas easier to manage/control then electric. For what it's worth i got a slow cooker for when i cook stews, chilli's ect as i don't like the oven on with DD1 running around.
