thinking about getting a new car- need help

Looking a various things to replace ford focus (incl new focus) - been thinking about a Nissan Qashqai.

anyone got one/know someone who has? What are they like -pros/cons? Looking for a replacement for a v.old (but much loved) ford focus so want something practical, reasonably economical and safe that will run and run...

Reviews seem ok but whats its really like..

He does the car column in the Telegraph and the website is supposed to be very useful for a good analysis of the pros, cons and what to look out for with a particular make and model.
