Multiyork Sofas??

Does anyone have a Multiyork sofa and if so would you recommend it? i.e. does it keep its shape, is it comfy, hardwearing etc? Is the fabric protecting stuff worth paying extra for? I'm looking at the 'Long Island' ready-made range rather than the tailor-made ones.

Yes, we have two of the tailormade ones, doing very well although we've only had them a couple of years.

Thanks for your responses, I think they sound good enough for us so we'll go and test them out tomorrow!

We bought a multiyork sofa 15 years ago and got it recovered 2 years ago. Its been fantastic and has outlasted other sofas. The upholster told us that our cushions did not need to re stuffed or anything and we have a dd aged 6 who uses it as a trampoline despite our best efforts.

We bought two custom-made Multiyork sofas, an armchair and a footstool 15 years ago, have had them re-covered once (the original covers were OK but we needed a change of decor in a new house). The replacement covers are now wearing out and will need to be changed again soon, probably back to the original ones, looking at the state of our budget . The furniture itself really has stood the test of time - in our case the 4 kids that have arrived in the intervening years using the sofas and chair as trampolines and making countless dens out of the cushions. Definitely a hardwearing brand.

Oh good, really pleased to hear all these recommendations. I ordered a couple of Multiyork sofas yesterday, so thanks for replying to my post!
