I Pod novice here - How do you delete songs from an ipod once they have been downloaded

Got a ipod for Christmas and am trying to get to grips with downloading the music and have added somethings in error that I want to delete can anyone help please?

you need to connect y our ipod to your computer and go through itunes. You can then select your ipod music library and use the Edit, delete function to get rid of anything you don't want
