Is this happening to anyone else?

In the past couple of months I have had 3 incidences of Amazon shipping me 7 of something when I thought I ordered only one.

This is very weird. Today I have had 7 footstools delivered to my apartment building lobby. I only want one!

I looked at a number of stools, picked one, put it in my cart, and checked out. How did it become 7?

I realize I should have checked first, but it just didn't occur to me. I think I have learned my lesson and will obsessively check now.

This happened before with dish cloths and deodorant. Always 7 of them.

Has this happened to anyone else?

We now have to wrestle 6 boxes of footstools down to the car and into the fedex place. DH will not be amused. Neither am I.

Didn't you notice the price difference ???

I mean, I understand a 1 and a 7 might look similar in some handwriting, but you are presumably using a keyboard or phone so I can't see how this happens.

I am clearly just a bit blase about ordering and need to be careful. I noticed the difference but not until it was too late to cancel.

I just don't see how I get 7 when I absolutely did not put in 7.

I just got a response to my refund request from the seller. They say they have encountered this several times.

Interesting. I feel a bit better not to be the only one.

This has happened to me before once. I assumed that somewhere along the way, the order was handwritten. 1s and 7s are notoriously mixed up!
