we took things back today and exchaned things for something else without a receipt and they were fine

Twiglett · 03/01/2008 17:56

you put them in your gift drawer for the next birthday party of course

clayre · 03/01/2008 17:57

that sounds more hopeful, i dont want the money back i would let him pick something else

they don't have to exchange if you have no receipt (unless its faulty)

maybe you could make up an item and ring them to see if they will exchange before you go down there

LIZS · 03/01/2008 18:01

They have no legal obligation to do so though, even as an exchange. Any agreement to do so, especially without any proof of purchase, is discretionary. Bear in mind lots of board games will have been sold on a 3 for 2 or similar type offer basis so they won't necessarily have received the same value in the till for it originally as the price of a single game.

thank you for answering, i'll try and take them back, if they dont take them i'll keep them to use as presents.
