as i caoulnt believe my eyes how much cheaper it is that MFI.... as we asked the assistant in both places to make sure we have read it correctly and in IKEA "Its what you see is what you get"....MFI "Its what you see is NOT what you get"!! - i thought that was a con!

anyway the IKEA kitchens are gorgeous!!!

We have one and it's excellent (and loads cheaper than the alternatives).

I have one too, now 4/5 years old - great budget option

My neighbour has a lovley free standing ikea kitchen - it must be about 6-7 years old now and looks really good, I know she has been pleased with it.

I had an Ikea kitchen in my old flat. Much better quality than MFI, fantastic drawers, rather than cupboards, that you could fit loads in, and really gorgeous. I would recommend. Don't go with their fitters though as they were rubbish.

Also, a lot of the gorgeous kitchens in Living Etc. magazine are Ikea frames and doors, with higher spec worktops, handles and white goods put in.

Had one in previous house which I chose for cost as we were doing up to sell.Turned out brilliant and will be having one or at least bits of one if and when we find a house!they are quite robust

I will be getting one soon as well i hope...

but not until the kitchen is dont at work... am going to havve NO KITCHEN for 2 months while builders bash hosue down, so need to recover from 'no kitchen at work' before i even think about no kitchen at my house!

Love my Ikea kitchen too. I went for the 'Tidaholm' wooden one 3 years ago and it's still fab. I wasn't so keen on their worktops though, so bought those seperately elsewhere. The only problem I've had is that one of those metal twirly things I got for a corner cupboard has fallen apart, possibly my fault for loading too many things on it though.
