here

She goes to France with the school in March and I want one jacket to cover all weather conditions which that one would as it has removable fleece bit etc.

Have looked on ebay but no luck yet. Has anyone seen any any cheaper than that ??

nc - I'd be a bit wary of those 3 in one jackets (perhaps especially the cheaper ones?) - I bought a bhs one for dd (definitely cheaper than your link) and I thought it would be brilliant - for exactly the reasons you say - but it was a right royal pita. the zipper things to put the fleece in and out were crap, the press studs adt the end of the sleeve broke - making it really annoying to put on - as the fleece sleeves would ride up. I swore I'd never get one again. how old is your dd? have youlooked at uniglo or quo or whatever it's called? what about outdoor shops like Millets?

I think I saw something similar in Sainsbury's on Monday.

some of this is expensive but they've got a fleece for £9.99 which you could maybe combine with a waterproof?

discoverlife · 02/01/2008 19:48

My local Aldi and Lidl are have a winter clothing war at the moment, the Aldi snowsuits look really nice. Its a shame thier web sites don't show stuff from previous weeks.

We got a very good one from a camping shop at the Swindon Outlet Centre, if you live anywhere near there. DD does Duke of Edinburgh so needed a fully waterproof jacket. She wears the fleece in her sleeping bag!

Astrophe · 02/01/2008 19:51

I was in Yeomans today and they had a similar thing (removable inner) for £24. It was a Regatta one, purple, reduced from £40 (I think)

Astrophe · 02/01/2008 19:53

I should have said, I rejected the afore mentioned jacket for DD, because the inner fleece didn't seem like very good quality, it was quite thin. I ended up getting a normal waterproof jacket, also Regatta, but was only £14, and will get her a fleece seperately.

I bought something similar from Decathlon for dd a couple of years ago, great quality. I can't remember how much, but they are usually inexpensive.

We have a Mountain Warehouse outlet store narby. I got ds1 one of thse last year and it's been fab. Very good quality and he's getting a second year out of it as it was a little big when I bought it. I got it in their sale for £18. I could have a look for you if you like to see if thy've any in this years sale. How old is your dd?

Ahh right I see.

I know nothing about this type of clothing.

Would be great if you could have a look Aero. Dd is 10.

Will try and pop in tomorrow or monday. I pass it daily on the school run.

You couls try this -

Marshall Ward have THIS in size 11-12. You can use a voucher ZQ303 for £15 off and ZQ297 for free delivery. So if it works you could get it for £1. I used the codes yesterday on something else, It seemed to go through okay and I got the order confirmation so fingers crossed!

LIZS · 03/01/2008 19:59

Try TK Maxx - look out for Regatta/Dare2Be, Trespass, Sprayway and Bodge the Badger. You can often get one under £20 (sometimes a lot less), either a 3 in one or fleece lined waterproof outer. Or try a sports wharehouse like Decathlon or Go SportExample Have a google/search on ebay cos you can often find "ski" styles on the net very cheap in odd sizes like here Can you get one she can wear for school afterwards ?

Trespass one on Ebay or Next
