I need to find some waterproofs (top and trousers, or - ideally - all in one) for my 1 year old who's starting nursery - any recommendations for something reasonably priced?

have you tried ebay? you can buy second hand, or there are load of new ones from ebay shops. fairly cheap too. from memory i think you will prob get one for under £20, which is not bad for a good make

We bought some fantastic waterproof trousers (padded, sealed seams, adjustable etc) from Tchibo last year. Might be worth checking their website.

i've got muddy puddles, very good but sizing is massive. also the jacket is slightly different colour from the trousers but i ordered them separately so expect it is different batch of fabric.

where can i get nice boy-suitable wellies for a 7/24? they all seem to start bigger online or else cost a bomb or have flowers on.
