Anyone know where I can buy one of those super absorbent wee-soaker-upper blanket-y things

We have finally bitten the bullet with DD re moving out of night nappies.

A mate at work has lent me a thin flannelly, blanket-y thing which we are interleaving between 2 sheets which just soaks up wee. I need to give it back to her next week and can't seem to find one anywhere.

I know that my mate got hers from GLTC, but they have been out of stock for ages. Does anyone know anywhere else I can get one from.

Ah, no - thanks, HE, but it is not that (have already got one of those). The JL ones go right next to the mattress and they sort of just stop the wee going into the mattress but it is all a bit puddle-y because they have a waterproof backing.

The one I am after is just like a square of thickish felty-flannel. It sort of wicks the wee up so it is not all in one big puddle. You just whip the top sheet off and whip off this and the underneath sheet is fine. New jama bottoms and you are good to go - takes about 3 minutes (Have not personal experience of this but have timed DH )

That's exactly what the Nappy Lady ones are like!

You don't need a top sheet over them, by the way, they are perfectly comfortable to lie on without.

They are called Kylies (although that may just be a brand name) and you can wash them very hot and tumble dry them. They are mega tough!

They really are good. Will be excellent for when we are visiting relatives etc as well (nothing outstays your welcome more than a wee soaked mattress).

My mate at work said the biggest mistake she made was not getting 2, so I will deffo do that.

I think I got something that sounds like this at Boots, about £15, but I can't find it on their website now.

Yes, they are fab. I know that you can sleep directly on them. We thought DD had got a bit reliant on the night nappies (she has just turned 4 but has been reliably potty trained for the best part of 2 years) and was wee-ing because she could. We didn't want her to be the same with the wee-wee blanket, so although she does know about it, we thought it better to hide it under a sheet so it doesn't become another "support".

DS was dry at night from the age of 2.5 and has probably only wet the bed 4 or 5 times - is now 6.3. We had absolutely no idea at the time how lucky we were with him!

Actually Hippychick sounds familiar as the name of the one that Boots sold. Will check out the kylie link if I need some more though.
