Just had to share this with you My Dad gave me some money for Xmas and we ordered This! It came today and is FAB, I haven't got Skyplus so this is perfect for recording freeview and pausing live tv. For the price I really recommend it.

Bubblerock....So is it the same as sky+? we would love sky+ but too expensive to buy.

bubblerock · 25/01/2008 11:08

Forgot about this thread! It works in the same way as basic skyplus ie. you get all of the freeview channels and are able to record them whilst watching another channel and if you're not recording you can actually pause TV. I like the fact that there is no monthly fee, it's not much more than a regular freeview box and it's easy to use. I want to get one for the other room now!

Look at BT Vision, it's even cheaper.

We got a V+ box, which does a similar thing for our cable, and like you very happy about pausing, recording programmes. In the past I used to have a wee whinge and groan to myself when DD kicked off and I was missing my programme and am too thick to be able to record from cable onto the video. No more moaning from me.

The only criticism I have of the V+ box is that it is quite noisy.

BT Vision is £17.99 per month for freeview!

Sorry, that's £17.99 for broadband to get the freeview.
