Straps for Tripp Trapp

So we finally bought our Tripp Trapp, and the baby set, and after much twiddling it's stable and doesn't rock... but.. no straps included! I must admit that I sort of assumed that the baby set included straps!

You can use any reins type harness with it, - just clip them between the back bars.

Catbert · 18/11/2004 19:32

With the baby kit attached, you don't really need the reins, and it is quite difficult to get out of, when they do start to try...

Agree with hula, just use a normal harness from Toys r Us, mothercare, clippsafe et al (like this one )and loop the anchor parts around the back bars. With the bar you don't need them tight it is just to stop them being able to push themselves out with their feet.

we didn't need straps with the baby set until they were well over a year and big enough to climb out. Then you can use any straps to clip on to the loops.

We have just bought one too. We won't need the straps as dd is quiet (touchwood) but the chap in the shop said you can use any harness reins. HTH

Out of idle curiosity do you get d-rings on Tripp Trapps in Uk ? I know that the baby set includes a higher seat back , which in Europe it doesn't.

Hulababy · 19/11/2004 16:12

Have to say that although we bought straps, think we only used them half a dozen times at the most.

Hulababy · 19/11/2004 16:13

We got the high back seat, but not the D rings. I used the ones that came with my reins.
