Does anyone have a Ford Focus CMAX - can you get 3 car seats in the back?

Thats about it really, have finally decided that we really need to get a new car as number 3 is due in July. Like the CMAX but am worried about the car seat situation.

Will have 4yo DD1 and 2 1/2 yo DD2 in Stage 1 (9 months to 4 years) car seats and a newborn one for DB. Plan is once baby is ready for next stage car seat they will get DD1's and she will have the next stage up.

During the week DB can be in the front with the air bag disabled but thinking at the weekend when both DP and I will be in the car?

Can I ask what seats you have? And the ages of your DC?

We can. We have had 2 cmax's and both have been fine for seats. I took our seats to Mothercare though and asked the man who fits them to arrange them in the best possible order (we were buying a new one though so they were most helpful!). DH has just bought me a new car (yesterday in fact) and that has three rows of seats so the older two children can be split up a bit if necessary as I'm finding the cmax a bit cramped now that the dcs are getting bigger.

All our seats were britax btw. A rock-a-tot, an eclipse si and two hi-liners (also briefly a super cruiser) and have fitted them in in various configurations over the past 2.5 years. HTH

Thanks bagpuss I currently have 2 Britax Renaissances, will be buying a new car seat for the baby so will take car along to Halfords to check it fits and when I buy DD1 a new seat.

I just wanted to know it can be done.

Am going from a Clio so I think a CMAX will be big enough for me for a few years.
