I bought some xmas presents from this Xmas Special yesterday and I'm wondering whether the receipts will still be viable after Xmas in case anyone doesn't like something or it doesn't fit. Says 28 days on back of receipts. Will they make an exception with this? Bit worried!

It was yesterday - sorry to mislead anybody by bringing this back. I am just wondering about receipts!
KristinaM · 19/11/2004 11:42
I bought stuff and asked about receipts. You needed to ask for a gift receipt - sorry!

Oh fantastic NDP - desperately need some winter clothing for the boys and myself now it's got colder...
agy · 19/11/2004 12:39
Well, don't buy any Christmas presents - I've just phoned 'em and the 28 day returns period applies, so if they don't like the stuff - hard luck! And they said this applies to gift receipts as these, too, are dated and the terms and conditions on reverse apply! She said you would have to argue it out with individual stores!

Unless policy has changed in the past year or two I'd be really surprised if they didn't allow an exchange on a Christmas gift, returned with a receipt. Of course any such returns policy is discretionary, unless goods are faulty, damaged, unfit for purpose etc and therefore covered by statutory rights.
