I've seen these advertised recently for about £80 - £100. I still have a vast collection of LPs and singles and it would be great to get them all on MP3 player, anyone got one?

DH got one for his birthday - £99 from Maplin.
He hasn't got round to setting it up yet though!

I bought one for dh for Christmas - from John Lewis - but we haven't set it up yet either!

Got one for DS from Costco, £70. He's managed to lose the disk with the software on already, so we haven't set it up either

Sorry - not yet Will try to get DH to have a go this weekend if he's not going to MIL's.
Think he probably will be though, as she's rung every evening this week to say she's lonely...

Spidermama · 08/01/2008 21:32

Yes. Ours is a Numark and cost about £80 I think from Richer Sounds.

madamez · 08/01/2008 21:33

I got one for Xmas but have not tried it out yet, been too busy. I am really really looking forward to hearing some of my old faves though

whichwitch · 08/01/2008 21:49

DH has the Maplins one and has set it up and happily ipoding (new word?) cost £79.99.

hedgehog1979 · 08/01/2008 22:09

my mum got one for christmas last year (2006) and loves it to bits. Although I think it is more for being able to play her old LP's rather than being able to 'rip' the music onto my parents pc

RustyBear · 08/01/2008 22:23

We are now actually thinking of getting a USB cassette deck, as we have even more old cassettes than LPS!

Slacker · 08/01/2008 22:47

My DS got his one up and running all on his own, and he's only 11, he burned some CDs which he then put on his ipod, I think he might have messed the first one up but was fine from then on. So not that hard to use.

Theresa · 09/01/2008 14:28

Brill, thanks everyone. I was really brave early last year and threw all of our cassettes out as they were in the back of a cupboard covered in dust but couldnt do that to the LPs!
