Am considering this or this for my dd's second birthday.

Does anyone have either? what do you think? Are there any other contenders we should consider.

I would get the rothan, have been very impressed with their first pedal bike - both dd learnt very fast on it.

lapiNewYear · 30/12/2007 09:58

Have you seen the Kiddimoto?

We are thinking of one of these for DS's 2nd as well

MrCSWS · 30/12/2007 10:35

Lapin, thanks but am thinking of a bike in metal as opposed to wood (might be left outside!), and more bike like IYKWIM.

Kath, I thought the same about the next Islabikes but we could always switch to them at the next stage! Good to know that the next ones are as good as I thought.

Have alook in the MN Reviews at First Bikes.

I like the look of the Rohan for BabyDragon

SoupDragon · 20/01/2008 12:36

Rothan, not Rohan

Ooh thanks ladies. Off to read the MN reviews now, but think we're going to go for the Rothan, as no-one has had a bad word to say about them, and no-one has come along to justify the additional cost of the likeabike.

Dh had better get on and order it really, or she'll end up with neither .

MrCSWS · 20/01/2008 21:38

thanks everyone - it looks like the Rothan is the one to go for

DD (3.3) has the likeabike jumper and it is the best thing we've bought for her. She's had it over a year and plays on it every day. I think the Rothan looks fab as well though. Because dd was only just 2 and small for her age we went for the likeabike as it had a low seat height compared to others (don't know about Rothan, hadn't heard of these).

A friend of mine has recently gone for a much cheaper version which her dd is unable to use as the seat is still too high at the lowest setting, so it's something to consider.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/01/2008 21:57

Good point pf. Dh has just checked, and Rothan needs min 30cm inside leg (apparently a height of approx 86cm), whereas the likeabike needs 35cm. As dd is 85cm, that's sealed the deal for the Rothan!

LilLap · 21/01/2008 08:44

We looked at a LikeaBike yesterday, and while it is very VERY cute, I still think we will go for the Rothan. The height is an issue for us too (diddy DS ) and I just prefer the look.

Plus it's about half the price!

SoupDragon · 21/01/2008 14:17

Don't forget to review whatever one you get (or have already got)

SoupDragon · 31/01/2008 11:02

BabyDragon's Rothan has just arrived

It is possible the cutest (non-Dragon) thing I've ever seen!

I spy a visit to A&E on the horizon...
