Baby Annabell Version 4 - with moving head

I bought the moving head Baby Annabell for both my dds. Both were fine yesterday, but today one of them stopped working, I opened the battery case, wiggled the batteries, then it started again. It did it again so I changed the batteries. However it keeps doing it now. It is fine when she is playing with it but then stops and needs the batteries to be wiggled for it to go again.

Now the other doll has started doing the same. It is getting a bit annoying having to open the battery case every time to restart it. Are we doing something wrong?

I know that she turns herself off if not used for about 60 secs, and that we need to give her a dummy or bottle to restart her, but this isnt working now.

I think it goes into sleep mode if you don't interact with it more or less constantly. There is an on/off switch at the bag (slightly covered by its foam skin IYSWIM) - just switch off and back on again - should work. HTH

sorry I mean at the back! (of the doll!)

That's the first thing I tried, but it doesnt do anything. Only when I take a battery out then put back in again.

sounds like a pita toy. I'd take them back and get your money back. Maybe get the dd's another doll if they've noticed / really want a doll. don't bother if they're happy with everything else they got and pocket the money. January is always a tough month for cash.

It is about the only toy they have played and played with, and hardly put down. That is why I can see a problem with getting it off them to return it (plus they came from John Lewis online so would have to be sent back, hence a lengthy wait).

I'll contact John Lewis and see what they say.

sod's law eh?

you might be able to take them back to the store and use your delivery note as the receipt. m&s do that.

good luck.

Just my luck that the nearest store is 45 miles away. They are building a big one in Cardiff but that wont be open for later this year. I'll email them online.
