John Lewis or Next curtains?

We have two windows in the lounge, both wide and both long, so can only get curtains in the sale and need them DESPERATLY!
There are some duck egg blue faux silk ones in John Lewis, or linen and green velvet topped ones in Next-both same price-anyone know which would be better for warmth (and classic durability?)-both still expensive so want them to last. I've never had to get snazzy lounge curtains before, just white bedroom ones!

Get decent double glazing and it will not matter.

I would look to see if either had a lining between the lining if you know what I mean. If neither of them have it, I would go for what you like.

I have some weighted curtains that I bought from ebay on my balcony doors in our back bedroom. They literally have a quilt inside and they were only 160.00 but since I didn't have the 1000.00 for doors at the time, it made sense.

We're in rented so can't get double glazing, but the linen ones sound like they could be better quality, hmm xx

Have bought a few pairs of curtain from Next over the years and frankly not impressed. We had one pair where the curtains were different shades - quite obviously so. Another pair have uneven hemming so when they're drawn it looks appalling - one curtain is higher at one end than the other.

Never had curtains from JL though.
