We are a family currently feeding 3 adults.
In a typical week I buy;
1 or 2 of of either 750g lean mince or 900g chicken breast
1 pack 200g bacon
1 pack naice ham
1 pack quality sausages
The way we cook, is to make a pack of chicken or mince make a big casserole or lasagne or shepherds pie etc which would be 9 portions. This will make a meal for day cooked and 2 other meals frozen. The freezer houses loads of these meals so we can eat variety but only cook a big meal once or twice a week.
We will also eat 2 convenience meals per week - frozen pizza or fresh filled pasta etc.
Lunches tend to mostly be with cheese rather than meat.
Are we buying much more or less meat than most families? Thanks.
